Experience the exceptional flavors of Tanzania Yetu Tamu, a coffee that truly captures the essence of East Africa. Grown at altitudes of 1,800–2,000 meters in the volcanic soils of the Kilimanajaro and Mbeya regions, this medium-roasted coffee boasts a vibrant, fruity profile with rich notes of chocolate, blackcurrant, plum, and a subtle touch of green apple.
Rooted in a rich history dating back to the late 19th century, coffee cultivation in Tanzania was first introduced by Catholic missionaries and later expanded across the region. Today, the Uru Cooperative Society and Tujitume Cooperative (AMCOS) continue this legacy, ensuring that farmers receive fair compensation for their efforts. This cooperative model, founded on principles of direct trade, empowers local producers with valuable support, including access to agronomists who assist in the field, making it more affordable for individual farmers.
The cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness, with careful attention to prevent spoilage. After being processed locally, the beans are further milled and color-sorted at Mambo Cooperative’s facility in Morogoro. Each 250g pack of Yetu Tamu offers a refreshing, balanced cup that celebrates the rich history and flavors of Tanzania, making every sip a dynamic, refined experience.
