Colombia, the world’s second-largest coffee producer and the top producer of washed Arabica coffee, is renowned for its high-quality beans. With annual exports of approximately 12.5 million bags, nearly half reaching the United States, Colombia’s coffee is categorized by the regions where it is grown. Among its finest offerings is Excelso, a grading term for beans slightly smaller than Supremo, yet still large and of exceptional quality.

Our single-origin, medium-roasted Excelso coffee is a true gem, delivering a full-bodied flavor that showcases Colombia’s rich coffee heritage. These beans undergo European Preparation (EP), meaning they are hand-sorted to remove defects and foreign material, ensuring a consistently clean and smooth cup. While Excelso and Supremo beans can come from the same tree, they are meticulously sorted by size before export, with Excelso making up the largest share of Colombia’s coffee exports.
