Your Morning Just Got a Whole Lot Better

Most coffee sits in a warehouse for months before it reaches your cup. It travelled across continents in a container, passed through multiple middlemen, and by the time you open the bag, whatever made it special is long gone.

We built Coffee Circus because we refused to accept that. Since 2014, we have been on a mission to transform the way Malta experiences coffee — not just as a drink, but as a genuine connection between people, places, and the craft behind every cup.

Roasted Fresh at Our Valletta Hub

At the heart of Coffee Circus is our Valletta Hub roastery — one of Malta's original specialty roasters. This is where our master roasters work in small batches, carefully controlling time, temperature, and airflow to extract the unique characteristics of each origin. It is not mass production. It is craft, applied with the same dedication every single week.

We roast fresh weekly and distribute to our locations within days. That means when your bag arrives, it is at peak flavour — not sitting on a shelf gathering age. You will taste the difference from the very first cup.

Within days of leaving our Valletta roastery, those same beans are behind the counter at Sound in Sliema, at Connections in Marsaskala, at Smile in Rabat, at Porto in Ta'Xbiex, and at every other Coffee Circus location across Malta, Gozo, and Lithuania. The subscription brings that exact same coffee straight to your door.

We Know the Farmer. We Know the Bean.

Every coffee we roast starts with a direct relationship. We source from small-scale farmers and cooperatives in Ethiopia, Colombia, and Guatemala — people who share our values of sustainable cultivation and fair trade. No middlemen. Just honest partnerships with the people who grow the coffee, making sure they receive fair wages for their work.

The altitude, the soil, the processing method — whether washed, natural, or honey process — all of these choices shape what ends up in your cup. When you open a bag of Seven Beans coffee, the tasting notes on the back are not marketing. They are the result of those decisions, made by specific farmers, at specific origins. We include the full origin story with every delivery because you deserve to know exactly what you are drinking and where it came from.

The Circus Comes to You

Every Coffee Circus location has its own personality, built around the community it serves. Sound in Sliema pulses with the energy of the harbour and hosts live music. Smile in Rabat sits on a historic rooftop with views over the fortifications, serving traditional Maltese ftira alongside specialty coffee. Connections in Marsaskala is a waterfront community hub where conversations flow as freely as the coffee. Porto in Ta'Xbiex brings Portuguese culture and marina views together. Lisboa in Valletta offers an underground coffee education experience in a medieval setting. Joy in Gozo specialises in vegan and vegetarian options in an uplifting, relaxed atmosphere.

Each location is different. But the coffee connecting all of them is the same — roasted at the Valletta Hub, distributed fresh, served with the same standard of craft and care.

You cannot always be there. We understand that. So the subscription brings our roastery directly to you, wherever you are in Malta, in Gozo, or anywhere internationally. Same coffee. Same quality. Same community behind every cup.

Education in Every Bag

One of the things that sets Coffee Circus apart is our commitment to coffee education. We do not just want you to drink good coffee — we want you to understand it. Our baristas are trained as coffee craftspeople who share brewing knowledge through hands-on demonstrations at our locations. The subscription extends that education into your home.

Each delivery includes brewing guidance, tasting notes, and origin context. You will learn how grind size, water temperature, and brew time affect extraction and flavour. You will understand the difference between espresso extraction and pour-over methods like V60 or AeroPress. Over time, you will develop a genuine appreciation for the craft behind every cup — the same appreciation that defines the Coffee Circus experience across all our locations.

This Is More Than Coffee

Coffee Circus started in 2014 with a TukTuk imported from the UK and a belief that coffee could bring people together in a real way. That belief built a community-owned cooperative with 11 locations across Malta, Gozo, and Lithuania, a roastery in Valletta, a quarterly publication, and a community of owners, baristas, farmers, and regulars who all have a stake in what we are building together.

Our cooperative philosophy means that everyone involved in the Coffee Circus community — from the farmers who grow the beans, to the roasters who transform them, to the baristas who serve them, to the customers who drink them — plays a genuine role in the movement. When you subscribe, you are not just buying coffee. You are joining that community as an active participant, not a passive consumer.

Every bag is a small piece of that movement, delivered to your door.

Every cup connects you to something bigger. Visit us across Malta, Gozo, and Lithuania — or bring the circus home with a subscription.
